Josephine Tomic (born 9 June 1989) is an Australian racing cyclist from Perth.

She began cycling on the road aged 14 and represented her country for the first time only a year later in 2004, competing in the Oceania championships. She won 5 national titles in the under 17 category between 2004 and 2005, and added an under 19 title to her palmarès in 2007.

Tomic competed at the Junior World Championships in 2006 and 2007. In 2007 she won the Individual Pursuit, setting a new junior world record in the process. She also won the Points Race and Road Time Trial junior titles and also finished fourth in the road race and fifth in the scratch race.[1]

She entered the senior ranks in 2008 and began the season by winning the national championship individual and team pursuit. In November 2008, Tomic made an appearance at round 2 of the 2008–2009 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics in Melbourne, where she won silver in both the individual and team pursuit.

On her senior World Championship debut on 28 March 2009, Tomic won the gold medal in the Omnium, the first time the competition had been included for women in the World Championships.[2] She also won the bronze medal as a member of Australia's Team Pursuit squad.

In 2010, she won gold as part of the team pursuit, but in the omnium, she fell after a collision in one of the races and had to withdraw.
